CAN ANYONE REALLY KNOW
THAT THEY WILL GO TO HEAVEN?
The Bible says you can!
One reason the Bible was written was to give us God's plan of salvation - the way to be saved from our sins.
It says:
Every person is a sinner. Romans 3:23 tells us ''For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." You did not even have to do anything to become a sinner. We were all born that way. "Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me'' Psalms 51:5 Because of this, God cannot allow us to go to Heaven. Habakkuk 1:13 tells us that God cannot even look at sin. Heaven is where God is, so sinners cannot go there.
The Bible also says that, because you are a sinner, there is a penalty to pay. "For the wages of sin is death...'' Romans 6:23 We consequently must go to Hell, otherwise known as the second death. (Revelation 21:8)
Christ, however, loves us and does not want us to go to Hell. And knowing we could not do anything to save ourselves, He came in the form of human flesh and died on the cross for us. ''But God commendeth (demonstrated) his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.'' Romans 5:8 He took our place.
God said that, knowing these things, there are only two things for each of us to do. First, repent of all your sin. "...except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." Luke 13:3 This is being willing to be cleansed from our sin. We have to be willing to let go of it. Second, simply call out to Him for forgiveness and to take you to Heaven when you die. ''For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13
God did everything that needed to be done in order for you to be saved from your sins and go to Heaven. Won't you accept His free gift of salvation so you can know that you are going to Heaven, and can have all the good things God has for you? Why don't you pray and confess to God that you are a sinner, asking for His forgiveness, and ask Him to save you from your sins and take you to Heaven when you die.
"...the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. '' Romans 6:23
"These things have I written unto you... that ye may know that ye have eternal life'' 1John 5:13
